My Analysis:
It was interesting to see the browser trends. Some, like IE being most popular, I might have guessed at; others like the fact that 60% of the users polled access the Internet at least once every day, was quite surprising. Due to the diversity of browser use I would recommend that the corporate Web developers test the usability of each page they develop across all major Web browser platforms. With the increasing amount of time people spend surfing the Internet, it would behoove the corporate Web developers to create as many interactive and engaging Web pages as possible in order to keep customers coming back to the Website frequently and enticing them to stay as long as possible.
I did some research and found that with the
advent of HTML5 and CSS that there are many new features that will need
to be supported by newer Web browsers, features that are not supported
by older Web browsers. This means that it will be more important than
ever to check out any Web page, especially those which incorporate the
new HTML5 and CSS3 features, in all major Web browsers. I also read that
Flash is not supported by the Apple IOS on their mobile products, this
means that if I create Flash animations and add them to my Web Pages
those animations will not be seen by users of mobile devices made by
Apple.
