Chromecast

Overview

Chromecast is a media sharing technology developed by Google. Chromecast allows Android devices to cast video, audio, or other digital media, like photos, to a display device which has a Chromecast receiver installed. Some Chromecast receivers are built-in to the display device itself. In cases where there is no built-in Chromecast receiver a Chromecast dongle can be purchased and installed by pluggng the dongle into an open HDMI port on the device.

Original Chromecast dongle supports up to 1080p.
Newer Chromecast Ultra dongle which supports up to 4K.
