Instructor's Notes to Students:

As you can see by the assignments listed above, you have one End of Chapter Assignment that you must complete for each chapter (except Chapter 3). In addition there will be two Exams: one Midterm Exam and One Final Exam that you need to complete. All Assignments and Exams must be completed by 11:55 P.M. on their due date - NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Assignments submitted within one week after their due date will be marked down 10%, submissions after one week of their due date will be marked down 20%. Students who fail to submit three or more consecutive assignments may be dropped from this course by your instructor.

The Midterm & the Final are found by clicking on the "Exams" link in the course menu . The Midterm exam consist of 25 questions worth 250 total points, the Final exam consists of 35 questions and is worth 350 points. Each exam is timed, 50 minutes allowed to take the Midterm exam and 60 minutes are allowed to complete the Final exam. The Midterm and the Final will become active one week before their due date. If you think you have found an error in a question, email me the questions and answers listed, inform me what your answer was and if you are correct I will adjust your score in the grade book. When noting a suspected errant question do not list the question number. Question numbers are different for each student and thereby useless in identifying the actual question you are trying to reference.

You can download the data files needed for your End of Chapter Exercises by going to the "Resources" link. Once you are on the Resources page, follow the instructions for Downloading the WROX files.

To submit your End of Chapter assignments for grading, you will need to "publish" your file(s) to the assigned CIS Web server using Expression Web and then email me a hyperlink to the home page for the assignment..

If you run into problems while working on an assignment, then email me your URL and I will give you hints or tips to lead you to a successful completion of the assignment.
