Overview

Most people know of the company Amazon, and have most likely ordered a product from Amazon at one time in their life. However, what most people don't realize is that Amazon's biggest business is cloud services, known as Amazon Web Services (AWS). Part of the AWS echsystem includes microservices branded as Elastic Kubernetes. Amazon also has made a huge investment in voice recognition (Lex), text to speech (Polly) and automation technologies which are incorporated into their Alexa app found on the Echo, Echo Dot, and Echo Show devices.

Additionally, the Amazon echostructure has expanded well beyond AWS and Alexa to include operating systems like Fire, ebooks under the brand name Kindle books, and eBooks read aloud under the brand name Audible. In addition Amazon also has a digital music offering known as Amazon Music, and a streaming video service known as Amazon Prime.
